Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are integral to the operation of Pelham Cares. Operating with only 2 part-time staff members, much of what we do would not be accomplished without our dedicated volunteers. From sorting and date checking food donations, shopping, packing weekly hampers, representing Pelham Cares at community events, attending meetings, and driving residents to important medical appointments…to mention a few, Pelham Cares offers a variety of volunteering opportunities.

We currently have vacancies for volunteers in the following areas:

Drivers

Do you enjoy meeting new people, giving back to your community and driving? Why not consider becoming a volunteer driver for Pelham Cares? Pelham Cares provides drives to medical appointments for residents of Pelham who do not drive, or…have family or friends to assist. Volunteer drivers choose when and where they are able to assist. Volunteers are asked to use their own vehicles.  A vulnerable sector record check will be required.

Members of our Board of Directors

As a result of recent recruitment, we are not seeking new Board members at this time. Please check back in regularly for future opportunities.

Individuals commit to promoting the vision and mandate of our organization, and as a volunteer will attend monthly board meetings, and contribute to the organization through committee or program involvement, and attending community events.
